Reign of the Rats

Squalid. But proud. Butter face. But fancy. Hated. But awed. Verminous. But trusty. Disgusting. But amazing. Frightful. But intriguing. Mucky. But almighty. Vicious. But virtuous. Wretched. But hidden. Crafty. But incorruptible. Obscure. But minority. Counter-culture. But wanted. Rebel with a cause. But perspicacious. Poisoned. But resistant. Water-resistant. And wall-resistant. We can follow a reflection of its resistance through guerilla artist – Banksy’s path.

At first, it wanted to be just like his lord – graffiti artist. And then, gangsta rat. Once it was a house painter. Once a baseball player. Once in a I love NY t-shirt. Once Marry Poppins. Then Speechless. Photographer. Rebellion. Parachutist. Anarchist. Peace maker/keeper. Swordsman.

Somewhere is on the menu (South-Eastern Asia). Somewhere its name is forbidden to mention. Somewhere is a fancy rat, being a pet of rat fanciers (They are believed to behave differently from their wild relatives). Somewhere in Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four is a method of torture. Somewhere is a bare raw material for SF experiments. Somewhere is Master Splinter with his paternal figure to the Turtles. Somewhere is Ratatouille. Until one day Freddie Mercury announced:

Great King Rat Died Today,

Born on the Twenty First of May,

Died Syphilis Forty Four on His Birthday,

Every Second Word He Swore,

Yes He Was the Son of a Whore,

Always Wanted by the Law.

Great King Rat became sacred in 1454 AD in Karni Mata’s temple in India when her stepson Laxman drowned in a tank. With a permission of a God of Death, Lexman and Karnimata’s male children are reincarnated as rats. Various 1, 2 and 3D reincarnations are in progress. Shadow government has its strings pomaded, just in sleekness purposes.

Being a part of the Roof Rat Art, they sneaked into the Duncan’s Gallery of Rat Art. From the anti-drug poster they are warning they’ll sneak into the drug addict’s house and ingest their stash.
