House of Cards Dreams

Houses are to last. Hence, there is a general belief that they should be made of brick, stone, wood, paint, Lego, plasticine. Those made of cards are, thus, unstable and non-persistent ones.

Unlike the above, I tend to believe that House of Cards is the longest lasting one being a nus product of our thoughts which we cannot get rid of. Descartes came to the knowledge that I exists due to ability to detect its own thoughts.

What House of Cards represents is more of a dream/reality dance with a tendency to turn into daydream in a Selma Ježková Dancer in the Dark manner.

I used to believe in Freud’s Interpretation of Dreams as a valid approach in unveiling our subconsciousness during the sleep. If I have to admit, I never really got the part that people tend to dream the desirable order of things and facts. Furthermore, I’m lazy to dig into yesterday’s moments’ analysis in order to figure out Freud’s recycling process of yesterday subconsciousness related details which construct the dream.

My House of Cards stands apart of those real dreams. It has a particular building timing – when I am awaken but still want to keep on sleeping even though it’s impossible. The main distinction between real and house of cards dreams lies in fact that Myself can partially control house of cards ones while it has zero influence on real dreams.

The house, thus, represents my own so called life sitcom where almost everything is going on my own until one of the reality cruelties destroys it. I am picking characters and deciding what they are going to say and why, along with creating the weirdest situations they all have to deal with. It’s a quite enjoyable and never boring repeated action. There is an immeasurable pleasure in having even limited control over the dream no matter what is happening in it.

Morning After the Wreck is what follows. I can feel Turner’s pain but there is also a light that never goes out. Cause the House of Cards is breaking the waves and lasts forever. So I once again refuse to accept Thom Yorke’s ultimatum when saying “Forget about your house of cards / and I’ll do mine”.
